Our group’s mandate is the ongoing protection of Jervis Bay Marine Park, and in particular its unique ecological and conservation values.

Originally called the Jervis Bay Community CruiseShip Coalition, we lobbied to prevent Jervis Bay Marine Park from becoming a permanent cruise ship port.

 

Penny Sharpe, Minister for the Environment, announced in September 2024 that Jervis Bay will not be a cruise ship port. There is more to be done: once the Marine Park Management Plan is released we need to provide feedback on the rules and regulations.

There is also concern that the Mediterranean mussel is populating the Bay, and this needs to be verified and sorted.
